Chris and I decided to play around one night trying to get some pictures of AJ's announcement card. For having absolutely no picture taking experience I don't think we did too bad :)

Ash wasn't really sure what to think about her new brother. She was just excited to have all of her grandparents in the room. Ave was amazing. She was in the room when I delivered, but hid behind the computer screen. She spoiled AJ rotten. She helped me with diaper changes, feedings, and picking out all of his clothes. Watching both of the girls with him was absolutely amazing.

As you can see, AJ came out a little stunned and very pale. He had a tight nuchal cord. Dr. Weber and our nurse took great care of him. He got suctioned and some oxygen and perked up. He never did cry. It was a little scary. Dr. Weber was great and kept me informed the entire time. Alex James arrived 7/23 @ 2116 weighed 8-1 and was 22 inches long. He was perfect!
Update
It has been quite a long time since I have updated our blog. I have had my hands full with 2 little ones. Where do I begin?? I think I will start with the night we went in for my induction. Me, Chris, Averi, and Ashley decided to grab some dinner with my parents before we headed to the hospital. We met my parents at Olive Garden. On the way into the restaurant Ashley puked all over the sidewalk. She gets car sick randomly and you never know when it is coming. Besides that dinner went well. We said our goodbyes to Ash and me, Chris, and Averi headed to the hospital. We got there about 630 that evening. I got my cervidill placed and attempted to sleep through the night. That didn't go so well. It is very hard to sleep when the fetal heart monitors go off constantly. That morning they started me on Pitocin. To make a long story short it started my contractions every 2 min but I couldn't feel a thing. I was on Pit all day and went from 2 cm to 2.5cm. Around 530 that night, Dr. Weber decided to break my water. Well from that point things moved right along. The nurse came in and asked if I was feeling pressure a little before 9 pm, I told her I didn't feel much at all. She checked me and I was complete. I pushed for less than 10 min and didn't feel a thing. AJ was born @ 2116 on 7/23/10. He weighed 8-1 and was 22 inches long. Our family was now complete. I couldn't be happier. Since we have been home things have been super busy. Ave was with us the first week and was a great help. Week 2, I was on my own. It went pretty well. Chris is an amazing dad and has helped me non-stop. I am so grateful to him. Ashley is adapting well and AJ is an amazing little guy!
